How to do a clean Extend in Suno v4 without the voice changing mid-song?

Hey guys, I'm going crazy with the Extend feature in Suno v4... 😅

I generate a perfect 2-minute initial segment with an amazing verse and chorus. I click 'Extend', set the exact timestamp where I want the second chorus to kick in (e.g. at 01:45) and... boom, the vocal timbre completely shifts, turns robotic/metallic, or switches to a completely different singer!

Does anyone have prompt tricks or bracket metatags to maintain the exact same vocal identity across song extensions?

Hey Teo! Unfortunately 'voice drift' is one of the most common issues when extending tracks. Here is the checklist I use to prevent it 90% of the time:

1. Never cut mid-word or on a sustained vocal note: Start the Extend during an instrumental pause, like on a drum fill or bass run (e.g., 2 seconds after the chorus ends).
2. Paste identical Style Tags: Don't introduce new genres in the Extend style box. Copy and paste the exact initial prompt string.
3. Use [Same Vocalist] or [Maintain Voice]: At the top of the Extend lyrics box, add [Continue Chorus - Same Male/Female Vocalist].
4. Set Overlap to 3-5 seconds: If you're on the updated web interface, adjust the overlap slider to smooth the transition.

Give this a try and let me know if it improves!

Guys, I tried cutting during the instrumental pause instead of right on the vocal tail... IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY!! 😱

The AI picks up the correct vocal attack without inventing a new singer. Thanks a ton SunoGuru, you saved my workflow and lots of credits haha!
