Hey everyone! Wanted to share and ask which bracketed metatags [...] work best for you on Suno v4 lately.
I often see people writing lengthy sentences inside prompt lyrics like [epic guitar solo with distortion and synth in background], and Suno either ignores it or worse, tries singing the words 💀
Here are the ones that consistently work 100% for me:
- [Intro] / [Outro]
- [Verse 1] / [Chorus]
- [Bridge]
- [Drop]
- [Instrumental Solo]
Do you use any others that deliver great results?

Great post Elena! The biggest mistake people make is writing compound phrases inside metatags. Suno prefers concise, direct tags (2-3 words max per line).
Here are some essential tags I use for electronic and urban styles that work like a charm:
- For transitions: [Build-Up], [Bass Drop], [Beat Drop]
- For vocals & fx: [Whisper], [Spoken Word], [Auto-Tune Vocal], [Echo Out]
- For instruments: [Guitar Solo], [Piano Interlude], [Saxophone Break]
- For endings: [Fade Out], [Big Finish], [Abrupt End]
Pro Tip: If you want a clean instrumental solo without vocal chatter, put [Instrumental Solo] in brackets and leave 3-4 blank lines below it before the next verse! 🎧🔥
