hey everyone! quick question about commercial use... if I make a short video using runway gen-2 free credits and upload it as a youtube short, can I monetize that channel or does runway hold the rights to free tier renders? don't want to get hit with a copyright strike down the line 😅 thanks!!

free tier videos from Runway carry a non-commercial creative commons license, so you can't directly monetize those clips. if your channel gets accepted into YPP you'd need a Standard or Pro subscription. Udio and Suno have the exact same policy for free tiers btw!

oh wow good to know!! glad I asked before uploading 20 shorts haha. I'll upgrade to standard plan then.
